PRE-PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS
Practice setting up the props for the different poses presented in the basic series. Initially, manipulating the props may feel a bit cumbersome, but after a few folds they will become second nature. We recommend taking time to correctly setup the props. Some of these poses will need tailoring for your personal comfort. If you feel uncomfortable in a pose, make adjustments to correct. It is important that each pose be comfortable to attain maximum relaxation. Try to practice in a quiet, nurturing environment. A great time to practice restorative yoga is early evening, or before bedtime -- really any transitional time, as preparation for and activity or as a relaxation after an activity. Take your time coming out of each pose and transitioning to the next.
